Stormont Castle, Stormont Estate, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast

Scottish Baronial style castle which is an 1858 re-working of the original castle. Main face 3 storeys high and 8 bays wide. Centre of main face has a 2 storey canted bay window, rest of windows square-topped sashes, with bartizan turrets at either end. Taller tower at East end with large door surround and balustrade on top, turrets on tower corners, crow-stepped castellation and 3 rounded arch windows at top. Gryphons holding shields at either side of the main staircase
